Systems Administrator

You Plus is looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our social gaming startup -- the company is a year old, well-funded, and already boasts the #1 app on MySpace. We are looking for a highly motivated, goal-oriented individual who will be responsible for managing hundreds of database, web and tracking servers. WHAT YOU'LL DO: In short, you will:

* Manage hundreds of database, web, and tracking servers  
* Oversee implementation and migration of upgrades, patches, code releases, and database changes  
* Prioritize and manage service issues, troubleshooting reports of issues from customers, and responding to system events from the monitoring system  
* Assist in the definition and development of projects designed to increase the efficiency and reliability of the hosted infrastructure  

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

* BS or equivalent experience  
* At least three year's Systems Administration experience, with specific focus on Linux networks and systems
* Good understanding of Internet protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, MIME, & DHCP  
* Good understanding of Web-based technology
* Hands-on experience running and maintaining Apache, BIND, Tomcat, and other server applications  
* Hands-on experience creating web-tools and scripts for various aspects of system monitoring, maintenance, reporting, etc  
* Hands-on experience maintaining a MySQL, SQL programming, MySQL Cluster a plus
* Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Shell, Python, PHP etc.  
* Excellent organization and communication skills  
* Ability to work an on-call shift when needed
