FILLED - Business Analyst

You Plus is looking for a Business Analyst to join our social gaming startup -- the company is a few months old, well-funded, and already boasts the #1 app on MySpace.

We're not looking for a list of skills or set experience. We're looking for a master data cruncher and an insightful business mind who wants to help us understand *everything* about our games. It's a two-pronged role: the Business Analyst will a) dig into the data, keeping their pulse on the key drivers of our business and 2) step back to offer business advice and lend insight to various product and strategic decisions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

* Collect and analyze statistical information from our various games and properties to help us make key product and strategic decisions.
* Track traffic statistics and trends
* Analyze and optimize revenue streams
* Answer key questions about the business, such as what demos are most valuable to us and how can we better target them? What is the lifetime value of our members, and is it increasing or decreasing? Did a recent feature launch help or hurt customer conversion? Which advertisements and traffic sources provide the best customers? And so forth ...

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

* Love of numbers and the ability to derive real-world meaning from large data sets
* Solid understanding of online marketing statistics (eCPM, cpi, uniques, etc.).
* 2-5 years experience with either business consulting for a top-tier player (McKinsey, BCG, etc.) for online clients, or in online advertising is preferred
* Proficiency with advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, database operations, charts and graphs, etc.) for data analysis is essential.
* Familiarity or experience with database query tools (such as SQL) is useful.
* Solid educational background and a record of academic achievement
* An inquisitive, analytical and flexible mind
* Interest in all things social networking and gaming
